Safety Chains are made for protect yourself in case of unnoticed opening of thebracelet. Inside there is a screw thread or a rubber O-ring. This is to keep the bracelet on the hand even after it has been opened.
It can hold the chain together as well as hold the beads in place. Inside the beads there is a thread inside that is screwed onto the bracelet so that it cannot fall off .
